The powerhouse vocalist and dance-club Queen, Simone Denny, is strength personified. Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, to Guyanase parents, like many Canadian-Caribbean household’s, music was a necessity. She listened to various genres from a young age including, reggae, Brazilian music, calypso, and R&B. Her internationally succesful club anthems “You’re a Superstar”, “Broken Bones”, and “Astroplane”, among countless others, have made her exceedingly popular in North America and Europe.
She has earned seven Juno-nominations and four wins, as well as being a five-time Billboard Dance Chart topping vocalist for acts including, the Gold and Platinum selling Love Inc., BKS, and Widelife. Her song “”All Things (Just Keep Getting Better)”” was the theme song for the original Queer Eye For the Straight Guy show. She would further support the LGBTQIA+ community with a performance at the NYC Pride Parade. Denny has shared the bill with artists such as Patti Labelle, Martha Wash, Thea Austin, Rob Base, and the Venga Boys, among others.
During the pandemic, she kept the ‘ball-rolling’ and was asked to close out the CBC New Years Eve Countdown to 2021, ending the year with an explosive performance true to her character. She also headlined the 2023 Manchester UK New Year’s Eve celebration at Royal Albert Hall, as she is massively popular in the European club-hall scene. Her 2022 collaboration with Irish DJ’s ‘Belters Only’ and ‘Mickey Modelle’ of re-make “”Superstar”” hit #1 on Irish Dance Charts.
Her strength and friendly demeanor has allowed Denny to branch out in recent years. She’s now active in theatre, T.E.D Talks, body positivity promotions, fashion modeling, and hosts two of her own Instagram celebrity chat shows; Simone Denny Live, and multi-media talk show with host Shaun Proulx, Simone and Shaun. More recently, she signed a song-writing deal with Canadian publishing powerhouse, Red Brick Songs.
Denny’s warm personality makes her one of the most in-demand hosts’ and brand ambassadors. Her powerful message of inclusivity and overall positivity invigorates audiences, as well as uplifts them.
