The seven-time Juno nominee, Ammoye, spreads a message of love, unity and social justice. Originally from Clarendon, Jamaica, the reggae fusionist is now based out of Toronto, Ontario. Her albums use themes of compassion, forgiveness, and empowerment, while blending old school rock steady with dancehall, dubstep, gospel, soul, and R&B. The internationally appealing star is now a major player in the Reggae community.

Her debut album, Enter the Warrioress, was released in 2015, earned her a nomination for Reggae Recording of the Year. Her latest album, Water (2021), once again took her to the Juno’s in 2023, and track “Stir This Thing” was nominated for Reggae Recording of the Year, in 2024. Ammoye is currently working on her next album The Shift, which will focus on realignment, ascension & harmony. She aims to present the inner work she has done through her music. Throughout her career, Ammoye has toured internationally, with notable performances at COMA Fest Brazil, Mundial Montreal, Rideau Festival Quebec, Mariposa Folk Festival, Northern Lights Festival, Boreal and Bout du Monde Festival, and Afrofest in South Africa.

Not only a talented vocalist, Ammoye has interests that expand well into the arts. Her theatre production, “My Reggae Story”, she hopes to one day take nationally and internationally. She is also slated to publish and share several book projects.
