The Canada Black Music Archives invites you to dive into the unique history of Toronto’s hip-hop landscape this February. Join the CBMA on February 21st for our Black History Month Showcase and celebrate Toronto’s contributions to the global movement. This special event will feature performances from Toronto’s legendary hip-hop duo, the Dream Warriors and expert lyricist, Mathematik. Set to spin between acts are local giants DJ Carl Allen, DJ DTS, and Joey from Soundquest. Special guest speakers include Dr. Mark Campbell of Northside Hip Hop and former President of the Ontario History Society, Dr. Rosemary Sadlier. A surprise guest performer is still to be announced, so stay tuned!
