Black History Month Showcase Toronto 2026
The Canada Black Music Archives
Join us on February 5th, 2026, at the City of Toronto Archives for a celebration of Toronto-based Black Canadian soul/r&b artists through performances and conversations. The Canada Black Music Archives (CBMA), supported in part by TD Bank Group through the TD Ready Commitment, as well as the Government of Canada, and the City of Toronto, presents the CBMA Toronto Black Music Showcase. This free event honours five iconic artists.
Kicking things off this special evening begins with an insightful conversation with chef, musician, visual artist and television star, Roger Mooking and CBMA co-founder Phil Vassell. Together, they will explore the legacy of Black Canadian music, food and culture. This conversation runs from 5pm to 6pm. From 6pm to 10pm, artists such as Jully Black, Divine Brown, Tanika Charles, Dru Grange and Liberty Silver will grace the stage for a magnificent evening of performance, hosted by award-winning DJ Mel Boogie.
Legendary DJ Carl Allen and production coordinator, is set to keep the vibes going between the performances by the incredible line-up of Toronto-based artists.
The Canada Black Music Archives will also be expanding our Black History Month Music Showcase on February 27th at the Museum of Vancouver. Click here to checkout that event.
