Born in 1975, Glenn Lewis attended Eastern Commerce in Toronto’zs East York neighbourhood and first garnered attention for his musical talents when he won a talent contest by covering “I Just Called to Say I Love You.” Following high school, Lewis performed in nightclubs around the city alongside Alex Greggs in the late 1990’s. His first single, “The Thing to Do,” was released in 1997 and won the Juno Award for Best R&B/Soul Recording. “Bout Your Love,” his second single in 1998, also received a Juno nomination. Lewis received his third consecutive Juno nomination with his collaboration with Baby Blue Soundcrew on the single “Only Be in Love.” Lewis’ 2002 debut record World Outside My Window, featured “Don’t You Forget It,” the hit single which peaked at #4 on the Billboard Charts. Lewis promoted this album by touring with Alicia Keys and Tweet. In late 2003, Lewis received a Grammy nomination for his work on Stanley Clarke’s Where is the Love. He is the recipient of an International Achievement Award for “Don’t You Forget It” at the SOCAN Awards in Toronto.
