Jacksoul was formed in 1995 in Toronto, fronted by Haydain Neale. Their debut album Absolute was released in 1996. They have shared the stage with notable artists such as Patti Labelle, Nelly Furtado, James Brown, and The Guess Who. In 2000, “Can’t Stop” was the #1 most played Canadian track for four weeks, and “Still Believe in Love” followed suit in 2004, simultaneously earning the #1 track on all formats. Jacksoul won the Juno Award in the category of R&B/Soul Recording of the Year in 2001, 2007, and 2010, as well as the 2007 SOCAN Award for R&B Song of the Year. The band released a greatest hits album in 2014, featuring the unreleased songs “Got to Have It”, “Whole Day”, and “Spiralling,” leading to another Juno Award nomination for R&B/Soul Recording of the Year in 2015 for “Got to Have It.”
