Jahron Anthony Brathwaite, known as PartyNextDoor in the industry, was born in 1993. PartyNextDoor is an R&B singer and a record producer in Canada. PartyNextDoor became the first artist signed to Drake’s OVO Sound record label in 2013 as part of a joint venture with Warner Records. Later that year, he released his first extended play album, PartyNextDoor. In 2014, he followed up with his albums PartyNextDoor Two and PNDColours. In 2016, he released PartyNextDoor 3. As a songwriter, he has also succeeded with hits like “Work”, which appeared on Rihanna’s album Anti and peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He also co-wrote “Wild Thoughts”, which reached number 2 on the same chart.
During his come up his freshman mix tape debuted at number six on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart, selling 2,000 copies. It also peaked at number 34 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart for the week of July 20, 2013. He contributed background vocals to two tracks, “Own It” and “Come Thru,” on Drake’s third studio album, Nothing Was the Same. Additionally, he produced three songs on Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late album in 2015, including “Legend”, “Preach”, and “Wednesday Night Interlude”. The two often collaborate and continue working together, with a joint album announced in 2024.
