Washington Savage is a Toronto singer, musician, lyricist, music director, composer, arranger and songwriter. Savage was displaying skills at the young age of 16. He was chosen by Blues and honorary order ambassador in Canada, Salome Bey, as her pianist. With this, he got the opportunity to perform at churches and stadiums. He inaugurated his first choir, “God’s Creation.”

His dedicated training paved the way to work with renowned artists such as Billy Newton, Shannon Maracle, Deborah Cox, Jackie Richardson, and Liberty Silver. He was also honoured to perform for Queen Elizabeth II, Bishop Desmond Tutu, and Nelson Mandela.

He produced “Coming Through Slaughter,” “Mamma I Want to Sing,” and “Indigo””, as an arranger and composer. During the past eight years, he acted as a musical director for the Harry Jerome Awards, the Crystal Awards for Women in Film and Television, and South African Women for Women.

He formed two original bands called “Age of Reason” and “BLÄXAM” and went for a publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music in the US. The band BLAXAM was successful. In 2007, he released his first solo piano CD, “Savage Piano Lounge,” which featured songs like “Tyrant Saint Blues” and “One of Three”.
