Black History Month at Queen's Park

The Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario will host a Black History Month exhibit at Queen’s Park in Toronto from February 11 to 13, 2026. The in-suite display will feature collections from the Canada Black Music Archives, Black Diasporas Tkaronto-Toronto, and the Archives of Ontario, highlighting the cultural contributions of Black communities across the province.

Black Music Month Showcase

The free event, which took place recently, featured performances by celebrated Canadian artists such as Reggae Queen Nana McLean, who was accompanied by Eddie Bullen, Maurice Gordon, and King Cosmos.

Black History Month Event

The CBMA celebrated a night of music, history, and culture with their Black History Month Event on Friday, February 23rd. Their sophomore event, succeeded by their hit pop-up launch in November, was hosted once more at the City of Toronto Archives. The evening followed a presentation for the Black Network Society and performance by Jay Douglas, held earlier that morning.
